When I had my first recurring yeast infection, I had no idea what it was and felt too embarrassed to tell my mom. Being a typical African woman, these kinds of conversations just didn’t happen at home. Out of desperation, I turned to a roadside chemist, who prescribed a 7-day injection to stop the itching. That was my first introduction to the sensitive issues women face.

Years later, an embarrassing encounter with a partner pushed me to look for alternative solutions. I was tired of visiting the doctor and feeling judged every time I brought up my "vagina issues." I decided to take matters into my own hands and spent hours studying and researching, which led me to discover the incredible benefits of boric acid. From the first pill, I experienced quick relief, and it was a total game-changer.

I was so excited about my discovery that I couldn’t wait to share it with other women. I knew there had to be others like me who were exhausted from the constant battle with yeast infections and BV. And so, in January 2019, The Fresh Cookie Lab was born—a brand dedicated to providing women with effective, judgment-free solutions.

The Cookie Vitamin was the very first product I launched, and at the time, it was something completely new. Back then, no one was really having open conversations about feminine care or women’s health. When I announced the release and shared my own personal (and embarrassing) story, I was amazed to find so many women who could relate and were eager to try it out.

The response was incredible—98% of those women experienced instant relief and started spreading the word to their friends. Not only did the product change lives, but it also helped me create a shame-free community where women could openly talk about sensitive issues we’re often made to feel embarrassed about. It’s heartbreaking how much shame society places on women to hold them back, but I’ve always believed shame is one of the strongest tools used to silence us.

At the time, I was making these products from my tiny apartment, but as demand grew quickly, I realized I had to step up and grow with it. It’s been an incredible journey, and I’m so proud of the community and impact we’ve built together.

The Fresh Cookie Lab has grown from a one-woman operation into a renowned brand supporting the health and wellness of women around the world. My mission is to continue creating life-changing products while sharing knowledge and information that empowers women to feel safe and free to have open conversations about the sensitive issues that impact us all.
